Many thanks go out to the CCA and CCGS Speech Therapists and all others who coordinated and supported this great Buddy Lunch.
Today a group of high school students from Cooke Center Academy joined some of our middle school students for a "Buddy Lunch" here at the Grammar School. To paraphrase CCGS Speech Therapist Joy Baldini and an message she sent about the event, the Buddy Lunch provided an opportunity for our CCGS students and CCA high schoolers to socialize, get to know each other and re-establish friendships. The CCA students also spoke about the first issue of their online (and amazing) CCA Teen Magazine, a multi-faceted project into which they've put much effort. Genaro (on the right) talks with Gerald and Chris about his high school classes and activities, as he shares his CCA freshman year schedule with them. After eating and talking, the high schoolers presented their online magazine, which features videos of them conducting video interviews of their CCA peers. Many thanks go out to the CCA and CCGS Speech Therapists and all others who coordinated and supported this great Buddy Lunch.

Great experience especially for those that are going to High School next year. I know they were exceptionally happy to see "old friends" and gain knowledge of the fun and educational activities that awaits them.
