Read on and watch video of him visiting and talking with two of our Middle School classes!
Mr. Fingeroth is best known for his long run as editor of Marvel's Spider-man books, and his substantial volume of work includes writing Darkhawk, stories featuring Spider-man, Superman, and other comic book characters and tales.
Earlier this month, after several weeks of work, the middle school students shared curriculum-focused comic books that they created during their Humanities periods (Savannah and Woodlands retold Ancient Greek myths in theirs) at the very first Cooke Center Comic Con.
In visiting and talk with Savannah, Mr. Fingeroth extended the students' learning-through-comics unit; he shared with them the creative process and collaboration that comic book writers, artists, editors and publishers go through to bring fantastical tales to the many millions of enthusiasts of their art form.
Below, segmented in 8 parts, is video of Mr. Fingeroth's entire visit and informative comic books discussion!
And, true believers, you're very likely to especially enjoy the last 2 segments, in which Mr. Fingeroth does some on-the-spot editing of a fantastical and hilarious comic book tale that the students create together, live in their classroom!
